One of the key pillars in a trading system, risk management is where many traders fall down. This module teaches how to control risk while still capturing good profits. Trade Risk and Portfolio Risk are two concepts that need to be understood. You need to set these in your trading plan and then stick to the rules. The trade recording spreadsheets show your Portfolio Risk at any given time and alerts you if it is outside your rules.
What software programs do you recommend?
To trade you will need a reliable charting package to be able to effectively analyse your charts, as well as an online broker.
Charting
For a charting package I use Beyond Charts as they are Australian and they have awesome customer support. Beyond Charts can be used for all your trading needs from Australian and International Shares, Commodities & Indices as well as FX. Trading Broker
For a trade broker I recommend and personally use Eightcap and IG Markets. They both have offices in Australia, and they also have excellent customer support..
